It has been a solid two weeks since the 02 June 2017 release of PartyNextDoor’s Colours 2. Despite the recent decrease in chart position, it debuted at spot number 10 on iTunes against a savvy group of opponents. If you remember anything about the Colours 2 prelude, Colours, you can embrace the bridging of the sequel. The attitude of Colours is just that, colorful. The flow of one song to the next is an indirect one, making the listener dig a little deeper into the lyrics finding the correlation hidden there. Part two picks up right where the original left off only this one is easier to piece together. The content and sounds the artist composes in his Colours 2 project bounce off of each other, making sure to fulfill both music and the listener’s needs. It is a sweet and intimate combination of hits reminiscent of a few favorite R&B predecessors. Get your colour on and enjoy.
